Is it not necessary that we must have a record of the number of our people in different locations?

It is necessary that we must build this record continuously- atleast once a year – to assess the strength of our population ;, to study our status ; to devise plans for our progress in education , industry etc. We have been requesting this but had little response.

Already we have come to know one or two youngsters are now making a study on our population located in different places .

Recording our population and its locale is not a new thought sprung from our brain.. Such an excercise was done just prior to Independence and it was published in the volume of SOUVENIR brought out on August 5th 1947 , on the occasion of the feast of OUR LADY OF SNOWS.

A photo copy of the volume re-constructed by Thiru Sornam Victoria , contains these details .While furnishing those details we express our intention to upload a few articles out of this volume shortly, for two reasons.
1. To update our knowledge about the glory that is no-more
2. To familiarize ourselves with the felicity of Tamil that our forefathers wrote.
